Ministry leader: What if the resistance you’re facing right now isn’t proof that something is wrong?
What if it’s actually proof that God is expanding your capacity?
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how leadership works a lot like weightlifting. Nobody gets stronger without resistance. Growth happens in the strain, the pressure, the push, the recovery.
And honestly, leadership can feel like that sometimes:
- Criticism
- Pressure
- Rejection
- Uncertainty
- Hard decisions
- Spiritual opposition
- Emotional exhaustion
But maybe this season isn’t punishment.
Maybe it’s preparation.
The first time you jumped off a high dive, it felt terrifying. But once you hit the water, something changed. Your threshold shifted.
That’s what God does through challenge.
The things that once terrified you eventually become things you realize:“Wait… God was faithful there too.”
You’re getting stronger.
You’re building capacity.
You’re learning to fear God more than people.
And that changes everything.
Would love to hear from you:
What’s one “high dive” you’re facing right now in ministry or leadership?
