Business Community
Yesterday I had the opportunity to meet in person! I’d forgotten that I’d shared a link to the business development program of our local council. When I saw him at the door I recognised him right away tho we’d only seen each other online a handful of times. He reminded me I’d put him on to it in the first place!!
I haven’t been to many their events this year but I did recognise the Business Development Officer greeting us at the entrance and introduced Charlie to her. It was nice to help connect them, and I’m realising this is a big part of who I am and how I do business, in a relational way.
I mentioned to Charlie that part of my reason for attending the event was to practice my pitch in a low stakes environment where I don’t know most of the people and where I don’t expect to get business leads.
I didn’t really use the Gaddy pitch per se but it was good practice to talk about my business with other local business owners and practice networking where everyone else was doing the same.
Thanks again for the opportunity to connect to community both on and offline.
