I’m running into an issue with OpenClaw. The gateway starts correctly and shows that the browser control service is ready, but in the dashboard it keeps saying the browser service is unavailable or unresponsive. I’ve:
- Restarted the gateway multiple times
- Stopped and started it cleanly
- Reinstalled the Chrome extension
- Removed and re-added the extension
- Checked that the port matches (18789)
- Tried incognito and a fresh Chrome profile
Sometimes it works briefly after a restart, then breaks again.
I’m not sure if this is a port issue, Chrome profile issue, extension conflict, or something else.
If anyone has faced this before or knows what I might be missing, I’d really appreciate your guidance. 🙏
