Oh so true
Worldly sorrow circles endlessly around shame,
embarrassment, and loss. It looks backward and inward,
replaying failure without resolving it. Godly sorrow, however,
looks upward. It acknowledges guilt before a holy God and
produces a turning of the heart, a movement away from sin and
toward obedience.
