Hey everyone, something fascinating has been happening over the past few weeks in the AI ecosystem.
According to the latest data from OpenRouter (we’ll talk about this platform soon), the Grok Code Fast 1 model —developed by xAI, Elon Musk’s company— has officially surpassed ChatGPT in API usage.
Grok processed over one trillion tokens this week, placing it ahead of GPT-4.1 Mini and GPT-5 combined!
What does this tell us? The landscape is shifting dramatically:
🧠 Claude (Anthropic): strengthening its lead in writing and reasoning tasks.
⚙️ Grok (xAI): gaining ground in speed, coding, and automation.
💡 Gemini (Google): standing out for its balance between cost and performance.
🔍 DeepSeek: growing fast in the open-source scene.
We’re entering an era where each player (model) dominates its own niche.
And for those of us working with AI, that’s great news! Why? Because more options mean more competition, greater supply… and more ways to build workflows perfectly tailored to each use case.
What model are you currently using? Have you tried Grok or Claude yet?
PS: I still owe you a tutorial on how to run AI models locally — right on your own computer, with no internet connection 😎
