Welcome to Northern Lights Barrel Racing International
This year has proven to be so exciting for barrel racing not just in the UK but also Ireland.
We have gone from strength to strength its been amazing.
In the UK we now have Barrels on the Beach private and group training sessions all over the North of England and the Borders of Scotland.
In Ireland what was a very small number of people playing with this amazing discipline is now a full blown Association and affiliated to NBHA USA and we have taken a dedicated team of riders to compete in the NBHA World Championships USA.
The World Championships was amazing from the moment we landed. On day one we visited a very large tack shop known as Cavanders( Horse Town) Day 2&3 where training days for Codey Chris & Hannah Sarah paired them up with horse and on these days they rode learnt how to ride them as they where so different to their own horse. Sunday was Sweepstakes day Jannah Chris & Codys first competition and they did great. The arena is a huge place and can be quite intimidating. Round 1&2 of the Competition was on the Tues & Thurs all 3 riders did very well but unfortunately didnt place in the finals, however they where invited to a lovely little barrel race instead on the Saturday and we all had great fun
2026 is looking as bright as ever for barrel racing and I cant wait for everyone to get involved
