Organifi Shilajit Review
It's no secret I like shilajit, and at $67 for a 30-serving bottle, Organifi Shilajit Gummies might catch your eye with the branded "PrimaVie" shilajit extract, but here's the reality: it's not worth the premium. And I'll come on to my issue the extract itself in the next section of the review.
The dose in Organifi is half of what’s actually effective, meaning you’d need to take four gummies daily—doubling your cost to $130 a month! If you’re looking for a full dose of shilajit that’s standardized for fulvic acid and dibenzo-α-pyrones, skip this one. There are plenty of people who are properly testing their resins, and you're paying for brand here. And ultimately they're just trying to capitalize on a lot of shilajit being poor quality by having that brand recognition.
Instead, I generally recommend Nootrum Shilajit, which costs $35 for the resin or $50 for gummies, and provides double the dose Organifi does as well as having multiple third party tests from reputable providers like eurofins, meaning there's really no reason to pay extra. You can read my breakdown of the best shilajit brands here.
Shilajit Quality (PrimaVie®)
PrimaVie shilajit is promoted heavily by Organifi and boasts some brand recognition. However, when we look closer, the quality doesn’t hold up as strongly as advertised. PrimaVie is standardized to only 50% fulvic acid—a level that’s fairly average in the world of shilajit. Fulvic acid is essential since it’s the main compound responsible for shilajit’s health benefits, and here you’re only getting 125 mg per serving (half the effective dose). Moreover, PrimaVie has relatively low levels of dibenzo-α-pyrones, another crucial bioactive compound in top-quality shilajit. Overall, PrimaVie feels more like a marketing gimmick than a high-quality extract.
Other Ingredients and Potency
The formula also includes 6 grams of added sugar per serving, making these gummies feel more like a sugary treat than a potent health supplement. While the flavors and sweetness may make them enjoyable to eat, they don’t enhance the product’s health value. For a $67 supplement, more focus on active compounds over fillers would be expected.
Price and Value
Compared to similar products, Organifi’s gummies are priced at a significant premium, mainly due to the PrimaVie branding. But given the low fulvic acid content and lack of other critical compounds, the value doesn’t justify the price. There are higher-potency shilajit options out there with a stronger profile of fulvic acids and other beneficial compounds—all at a more reasonable price.
Final Recommendation
For a truly effective shilajit supplement, it’s better to skip Organifi’s PrimaVie-branded option. Other brands offer higher purity, full doses, and a more complete profile of shilajit compounds, all without the inflated price tag. If you’re looking for a quick recommendation, go with Nootrum, which provides a stronger dose and better value.
