How long did it take you to move?

Purely out of interest, from when you made a solid decision to leave your home country to actually moving, how long did the process take?

I have planned to move to Asia and although I am super eager to leave the UK there are some things I need to wrap up such as getting tenants into two of my properties, packing my things up and some other lose ends. As much as I'd like to just go now, getting tenants into properties for example will help to sustain my lifestyle in Asia therefore must be done before I go.

What did you all do with your items such as your belongings from your home? Sell it? put it into storage? Or did you ditch it and just leave?
