Do you create for the sake of creating?

Do you have specific intentions every time you write a song? Or do you just write a song for the sake of making music?

Me personally, I have songs that had specific intent and ideas behind them but I really love just making music. The majority of my music is conceived in the moment; I just hear an instrumental and start going. There’s plenty of songs that will probably never be mixed or even recorded because of just having fun and not really taking it too serious. But that’s something I love about the way I conduct my music, sometimes it’s just about memory and emotion that comes with the song.
