It has come to my attention that #ASCAP has waived their fee for Writer and Writer/Publisher accounts (publisher Only is still a $50 fee). If you haven't registered with a PRO (idk why you wouldn't have at this point), then this is a great opportunity, for you to not only get registered, but to actually own your own publishing account. If you have already registered with ASCAP (or BMI) as a writer, then you will have to pay the $50 fee to get your publishing account. But a way around that: 1. Get someone you trust to sign up for a writer/publisher account and then utilize that publishing account for your music. I signed my wife up as a writer and created a publishing account as well.
