question: how to comp
I realize this question is quite unclear, but how do I do comp? I suppose I’m a novice in the world of Jazz, and I'm exploring Take the A Train as my initial harmonic analysis and hopefully a jazz cover!!! :D :D :D :D
What does comping mean? How can I utilize it? What does it signify? How can I incorporate it into blues and possibly in pop music like Taylor Swift? So, how can I begin to do it? Why should I participate in it? What benefits would I receive from it?
I understand it's quite unclear, and I have little knowledge about it, but come on! I'm certain I will learn a thing or two and pose another more detailed question!!!!!
