Anoxic brain injury
56 y/o male with M.I. needed a CABG x4. Patient had difficulty breathing, was intubated and subsequently had a trach.
Pt presented like a stroke patient. L side weakness, some word finding issues. Decreased trunk control and ataxic like movements.
Patient DID NOT have a stroke. He looks more like an anoxic brain injury.
Thoughts???
