You know what's funny about success stories? They rarely start with success.

So, let me share mine with you and take you on a journey... one that spans over three decades and shows why I'm so passionate about helping others build their dream businesses.

It all started when I was 20. Fresh out of the army and full of dreams, I launched my first business.

In a country transitioning from socialism to capitalism, everything seemed possible!

Plot twist: It failed in 6 months.

But life had bigger challenges in store. War broke out, and I found myself back in the army (another one).

Those challenging times taught me that resilience isn't just a concept - it's a vital survival skill.

Between the chaos, I managed to finish college and landed a job at the country's largest advertising agency.

Learned tons, and after 4 years, took a huge leap: opened my own agency!

Let me tell you – those first three years? We lived on bread and water. Literally. But we didn't quit.

And then... BOOM! Our little agency became one of the best in the country and region!

We're talking about international recognition, countless awards from all over the world, and 4 Red Dots (if you're in marketing & design, you know that's huge!).

By 35, I hit first $1M – not bad milestone in a country of less than 4 million people, at a time when smartphones didn't exist and Facebook was just a college project!

But success doesn't shield you from life's hardships. During this time, I was also trying to help my brother battle heroin addiction.

Despite going through similar experiences – the war, the army, the chaos – his battle ended differently.

We lost him.

It's a reminder that some fights, no matter how hard we try, have outcomes beyond our control.

The 2008 economic crisis hit just as our third child arrived. Talk about timing!

The business stagnated, eventually collapsed in a few years, and we had to close the agency.

Did I give up?

Never.

I launched a startup (ran out of money for the next round)...

tried Amazon FBA (developing in Croatia, producing in China, selling in US/globally is super exciting - but physical products are tough!)...

explored affiliate marketing (I learn a lot, but wasn't my thing - I prefer building my own products/services and use aff mktg as support).

Each "failure" was actually a stepping stone to greater opportunities.

Then I discovered something amazing - the power of building communities! It started with Facebook groups, but everything changed when I found Skool.

It was love at first sight!

Like finding the perfect wind (yes, I'm a sailor too!).

Finally, a way to combine everything I've learned about business, marketing, and human connection.

Here's what 30+ years of ups and downs taught me:

- True success isn't about fancy strategies and tools

- Building genuine relationships beats quick wins every time

- The right system + community support = unstoppable growth

- "Non bene pro toto libertas venditur auro"

(Freedom is not well sold for all the gold in the world)

Today, at 54, I'm still a marketer and entrepreneur, with lots of scars but with some unique knowledge and experience too.

I'm also a husband, a father to three amazing "kids" (who've grown a bit since then), a proud young grandfather (life's full of wonderful surprises!), and a lover of all things sports.

And now, I'm your Community Navigator, ready to help you build something amazing!
