Hello everyone,
A neighbor kindly shared a beautiful resource today: 5 whole sunflower heads after harvesting the plants.
I’m hoping to prepare the seeds simply and gently—keeping them raw—so I can later use them in homemade raw vegan crackers.
Do any of you have experience or tips on:
- Removing sunflower seeds from the head efficiently
- Separating the seeds from their shells *without* applying heat
- Keeping the process as simple and low-tech as possible
Whether it’s a hand-technique, a gentle drying method, or a clever kitchen hack—I’d be so grateful for your shared wisdom.
Thank you in advance for your help and inspiration!
With gratitude,
Emil 🌱
