Theme: What Place Makes You Feel Rooted?
Yesterday we honored the gifts—both tangible and invisible—that others have given us. Today, we expand our gratitude to include place—the physical spaces that hold us, ground us, and remind us we belong somewhere.
In the Blue Zones, people are deeply connected to their surroundings. Not just their homes, but the land beneath them, the streets they walk, the gardens they tend. They live in places that have history, rhythm, and meaning. Feeling rooted somewhere—whether a small corner or a vast landscape—nourishes something ancient in us.
Today's Gentle Prompt:
What place makes you feel most rooted? Most yourself? Most at home in the world?
Maybe it was:
🏡 Your kitchen—warm, smelling of something cooking
🌳 A favorite tree you've visited more than once
🌊 The edge of water—ocean, river, lake
🪴 Your garden or balcony—where things grow because of you
🛏️ Your bed—where you rest and reset
🚶 A path you've walked a hundred times
Your practice today:
1. Picture it—close your eyes and bring that place to mind.
2. Thank it—for holding you, again and again.
