Imām ibn ʿUthaymīn رحمه الله said:
“’The test gets harder when the relief is close.”
[Sharḥ al-Bulūgh (pg. 376)]
Allāh said:
فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ یُسۡرًا
So verily, with the hardship, there is relief,
[Sūrah al-Sharḥ, Āyah 5]
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:
“‘Allāh laughs at the despair of His worshippers although He soon changes it.’ I said: ‘O Messenger of Allāh, does the Rabb laugh?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘We shall never be deprived of good by a Rabb Who laughs.’”
[Sunan ibn Mājah 181]
Imām Muqbil رحمه الله said:
“Allāh has never taken anything except that he has replaced it with better and the Dunyā is a home of trial and hardship. It will never be complete for anyone ever."
[Ghārah al-Ashriṭah 2/474]
