I have emailed and gone to every place personally that would be able to host me for a show. The folks that I email never respond, one place told me that they couldn't do gigs because they didn't have a music license and I saw that they've been hosting shows since May, I really don't know what to do

Ok, technically not true; I had a Mexican Strat about 15-years ago that made a great hat rack. But this is the first one I’ve had since I started taking writing and playing seriously. She’s a Reverend Double Agent OG in Midnight Black. Like a good woman I love her and at the same time feel completely exposed by her 😅 Safe to say I have absolutely no clue what I’m doing on electric yet, but I’ve started to make some noise and that’s what counts for now. But all my big open-string acoustic chords sound like hot garbage, so it’s gonna be a steep adjustment period… Any tips from other acoustic players who made the transition/addition would be very welcome

I’m at my capacity with three venues I’m currently at if they each book me every 6 weeks or so, which I’m expecting to happen. But you never know. And the lead time to book new venues is many (many) months. So I’m thinking I’ll try to to find 2-3 other venues just to book once in the second half of the year. Then next year I’ve got a little more flexibility and some backup.
