Some People Say It. My Dad Cooked It. 🥘
My dad wasn't the type to say "I love you" out loud.
Instead, he cooked.
Growing up, he was always the one in the kitchen, making sure everyone had a full plate. I didn't think much of it back then.
It was only once I started cooking for people I care about that I understood what he was actually doing all those years. Food was his language for love.
He passed away at the end of last year. We never made a big deal out of Father's Day in our house, and today's no different.
But I'm cooking rosti and bratwurst, thinking of him while I do it.
Not in a heavy way. Just a grateful one. 😊
