Simplicity vs Complexity in Songwriting
Simple songs often perform better because they are easier to remember and emotionally connect with. Complexity can impress, but clarity connects. Do you tend to write more simply or more complex?

What I dislike most...
2 years ago I made a tiktok with a song that wasn't out yet. How many views did it get? 1.3 Million. How many streams did I get? Less than 10,000 total. When people saw that the song wasn't out, they moved on and never looked back. Such a missed opportunity... Compare that to my Song Hero that I didn't promote until after I released. I posted a tiktok that got over 200k views. But how many streams did I get since it was already out? I had 20k streams by the time I woke up the next morning... My monthly listeners skyrocketed to over 40k and I was blown away. Unfortunately, I didn't learn my lesson and I continued to make the same mistakes over and over again. Now that I've learned from failing over and over again, I want to make sure that everyone in this community is given a leg up by learning from my mistakes. So please. Release the music BEFORE you promote it!
