What Alex Taught Me: SOPs + Scheduling
Alex recently taught me the power of making SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and pairing them with a clear daily schedule.
👉 He said to schedule my day as detailed as possible — not ridiculously nitpicky, but with clear blocks for the important things.
Now my whole life is structured:
- Altcoin hunting blocks
- Lunch
- Meetings with people
- Project work outside of my daily necessity tasks
- Fun time (plan for it — because if you don’t, it’ll still happen and mess up your schedule)
- Mornings and nights planned out for preparation and winding down
I’ve already noticed that when I don’t prepare at night, my mornings take a hit. Scheduling has been a game changer.
What’s an SOP?
A Standard Operating Procedure is basically a checklist for how to do a main task. For example:
- Altcoin hunting SOP → exact steps I follow each time while alt coin hunting.
- Meetings SOP → how I prep, run, and follow up.
- Project work SOP → tailored per project, but always a checklist.
From these SOPs, I can create actual daily tasks. Example: after looking at my altcoin hunting SOP and knowing how long it takes, I can set the exact number of altcoins I should get to research that day.
🔥 Takeaway: SOPs give structure, tasks give direction, and scheduling gives consistency. Together, they create the order that makes excellence possible.
And the key: SOPs are never finished. They’re living documents. Each time I find a faster, more effective, or more efficient way to work, I go back and refine the SOP. Over time, they get better and better — and they always reflect my current best way of doing things.
