Learn the archetypes - I nailed it with this one i think
What is an archetype?
An archetype is a primal role: a universal human pattern you instantly recognize, like the Hero, the Sage, the Rebel, or the Mother. In tarot, archetypes help you understand the cards intuitively, without memorizing long lists.
How archetypes appear in tarot cards
The Fool – The Beginner: new start, trust, leap into the unknown
The Magician – The Creator: talent, focus, making things happen
The High Priestess – The Intuitive: inner knowing, mystery, the subconscious
The Empress – The Mother: growth, creativity, care, abundance
The Hermit – The Wise One: introspection, silence, inner guidance
See each card as a familiar human character you already know.
How to use archetypes in a reading Identify the archetype Which role or type of person does this card represent?
Connect it to real life Think of a movie character, someone you know, or a situation with the same pattern.
Apply it to the question How does this archetype show up in the situation you’re reading about?
This approach makes your readings more natural and much easier.
Quick memory trick “If this card were a character in a story, who would it be?” Your mind already knows the archetypes — tarot simply gives them an image.
