ICU Update on My Son ✨
My son is in the ICU right now due to severe flu complications that triggered a major asthma flare. He was admitted on Friday, Feb 6 and released Monday, Feb 9 after improving and being fever free, but we were still doing breathing treatments and steroids at home. His fever came back on Wednesday, Feb 11 and his oxygen dropped to 92 percent with labored breathing, so he was admitted again and moved to the ICU for constant monitoring, 100 percent oxygen support, and around the clock breathing treatments. He’s still considered critical, but he finally got some real sleep, and today he’s back to gaming again, which feels like a tiny piece of normal and a little bit of hope.
