Sometimes the most strategic thing you can do is be still. I haven't posted here for a while. I want to be honest about why.The last few months and weeks have asked something of me that I didn't expect — a kind of stillness I didn't choose, but one I eventually stopped resisting. Financial adversity has a way of stripping the noise. It humbles the things you thought were urgent and reveals the things that actually are. And for a while, I sat with it. I didn't perform. I didn't post. I didn't try to outrun the season.
I just got still. And in that stillness, something shifted. Not because I worked harder. Not because I forced an outcome. But because I finally became aligned with what I already knew was mine.
This week, AmplifYR Consulting(My Company) signed its first retainer client — the biggest creator agency on the African continent. A contract that didn't come from a pitch, a hustle, or a closing tactic. It came from alignment. From being still long enough for the right thing to find me. I am sharing this because so many of us are taught that adversity — especially financial adversity — is something to hide. We perform around it. We post through it. We pretend our way past it. But the truth I am learning is that adversity is one of the most honest teachers a builder will ever meet. It shows you what you actually believe. It tests what you say you stand for. And it does its quiet, sacred work whether you announce it or not.
I want to thank my mentors from this skool community, for reminding me that my lived experience is not a story to be edited — it is medicine. Medicine for the woman who is between contracts and wondering if she made the right call to start her business. Medicine for the founder who feels invisible because the numbers aren't where she said they would be by now. Medicine for the leader who looks composed in the meeting but is carrying something heavy on the drive home.
If that is you, hear me carefully:You are not behind. You are being prepared. You are not invisible. You are being aligned. You are not failing. You are being formed. The universe does not reward performance. It responds to alignment. And alignment is built in the stillness most of us are too afraid to sit in.
Stay close to your purpose. Stay close to the people who remind you who you are. And when the season feels long, remember: the harvest is rarely loud at the beginning. It usually starts as a whisper.
I love you. I am back. And there is much more to come.
Love Rachel
