We are so glad you have found your way here.
MONASTICA is a modern contemplative sanctuary for all spiritual seekers and those who feel called to live The Way more deeply—rooted in the teachings of Yeshua, the wisdom of the Nazarene Essene tradition, the Judeo-Christian mystical and shamanic lineages through the devotional path of the Rose.
This is a place for Silence • Simplicity • Sacred Rhythm • Embodied Devotion • Community.
We are not here to give you another religious identity to adopt, we are here to cultivate a way of life.
Before you begin exploring, please take a few moments to read this entire welcome post and our community agreements.
🌹 STEP ONE | ENTER THE SANCTUARY
Take some time to explore MONASTICA.
Visit the Calendar to discover our upcoming gatherings, Wisdom Teachings, Sanctuary Sundays, Women at the Well circles, Devotional Wellness offerings, guest facilitators, and other opportunities to gather.
Then visit the Classroom, where you will find our growing library of contemplative practices, recorded teachings, devotional resources, Essene wisdom, spiritual nutrition, somatic practices, and formation materials.
There is no need to consume everything.
Begin where you feel drawn.
MONASTICA is not another place to hurry through content. It is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and allow wisdom to become embodied through practice.
🌿 STEP TWO | INTRODUCE YOURSELF
Please create a post in our community and tell us a little about yourself.
You might share:
• Where you are joining us from
• What brought you to MONASTICA
• What you are longing for in this season of your life
• What you are currently exploring, questioning, healing, or uncovering in your relationship with God
• Which contemplative or spiritual practices already nourish you
There is no perfect way to introduce yourself. Simply arrive as you are.
🕊️ THIS IS OUR SANCTUARY
MONASTICA is a monastery without walls.
Although we gather online, what we are creating together is sacred space.
We come from different spiritual histories, theological understandings, and lived experiences. Some are rediscovering God after religious hurt or deconstruction. Some are exploring contemplative Christianity, the Divine Feminine, Essene wisdom, mysticism, embodiment, or ancient spiritual traditions.
You are invited to explore God deeply and honestly while remaining open to mystery.
We value both gnosis and wisdom, contemplation and study, ancient tradition and lived experience, Holy Mother and Holy Father, solitude and sacred community.
Our hope is that MONASTICA becomes a refuge from the noise—a place where we learn again how to listen.
OUR COMMUNITY COVENANT
🌹 TEND THE SANCTUARY
MONASTICA belongs to all of us.
Every person contributes to the atmosphere of this monastery without walls. The quality of our community is shaped not only by what we receive, but by how we show up.
Bring your questions. Share your experience. Participate in conversation. Encourage another person. Practice listening.
You do not need to be an expert, teacher, theologian, or mystic to belong here.
Your presence matters.
🕊️ PRACTICE SACRED LISTENING
We practice listening without immediately correcting, advising, fixing, converting, or debating one another.
Spiritual formation requires room for mystery.
We welcome thoughtful questions, theological differences, respectful disagreement, and nuanced conversation. We recognize that members may be deconstructing harmful religious teachings while others may be rediscovering ancient Christian practices for the first time.
Curiosity is welcome. Contempt is not.
We ask everyone to speak from their own experience whenever possible and to allow others the dignity of their own discernment.
🤍 BE A SAFE SISTER
We have no tolerance for gossip, cruelty, personal attacks, shaming, spiritual superiority, harassment, or malicious behavior.
If we desire safe sisterhood, we must each practice becoming a safe sister.
We will inevitably encounter different beliefs and perspectives. Difference does not require division.
Choose compassion.
Choose curiosity.
Choose humility.
Choose love.
🌿 HONOR THE SACREDNESS OF WHAT IS SHARED
Some conversations within MONASTICA may be tender, personal, or vulnerable.
Please do not share another member’s story, prayer request, personal information, photographs, comments, or experiences outside of this community without their explicit permission.
What is shared in sacred circle should be treated as sacred.
At the same time, an online community cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality, so please use discernment about the amount of identifying or deeply private information you share online.
🎥 RECORDINGS & LIVE GATHERINGS
Some MONASTICA teachings, gatherings, classes, and guest sessions may be recorded for our community library or other MONASTICA educational purposes.
When a gathering is being recorded, we will endeavor to make that clear to participants.
If you would like to ask a question or share during a recorded gathering but do not wish for your contribution to appear in the recording, please let the facilitator know before sharing whenever possible.
Some intimate circles, spiritual-direction spaces, or other gatherings may have different recording practices, which will be communicated for that gathering.
Please honor the privacy of other participants and never independently record a MONASTICA gathering without permission.
📜 HONOR OUR TEACHINGS & RESOURCES
The teachings, PDFs, recordings, meditations, practices, courses, and other resources provided within MONASTICA are intended for your personal spiritual formation unless otherwise stated.
Please do not copy, reproduce, teach from, distribute, upload, sell, or publicly share MONASTICA materials or another facilitator’s work without permission.
If something deeply moves you, invite someone to the well rather than carrying the well away.
Invite them into MONASTICA so they can experience the teaching within the community and context in which it was offered.
🌹 THIS IS FORMATION, NOT PERFORMANCE
You do not have to keep up.
You do not have to attend everything.
You do not have to have the right theology.
You do not have to prove how spiritual you are.
MONASTICA is an invitation into practice.
Return to silence.
Return to prayer.
Return to your body.
Return to the living Earth.
Return to sacred rhythm.
Return to the well within.
Return again and again to the Presence of God.
BEGIN HERE
Introduce yourself in the community.
Then choose one practice, one teaching, or one gathering and begin there.
There is no rush.
The monastery teaches us another relationship with time.
May this become a sanctuary where you can unclutter the mind, tend the inner garden, deepen intimacy with Divine Presence, and allow the Light of Christ to become embodied through the way you live.
Welcome to MONASTICA.
Welcome to the monastery without walls.
Welcome to the well.
Welcome to a deeper practice of The Way.
In Devotion,
🕊️Lauren
