WHY I CREATED THIS SPACE
Like many parents, I found myself on a path I never expected—searching for answers and trying to get my child the support he needed.
Along the way, women helped me. A stranger shared something I needed to know. An attorney—also a special-needs mom—helped me navigate the system. And my own “momfidante,” a cherished friend, shared what she had learned and reminded me I wasn’t alone.
Years later, discovering my own ADHD gave me new insight into how different neurodivergent brains communicate and experience family life. It changed how I understood my child, myself, and those I love.
Life on the A List grew from a simple belief: we shouldn’t have to figure this out alone.
I think of it as reaching up and reaching back—learning from others, then sharing what we learn with someone coming behind us.
Because sometimes one piece of information or a new perspective can change what happens next.
And when you’re trying to help your child, every single day matters.
