One of the most impactful Tarot Decks, I have ever used, is Japaridze’s Tarot Deck. Each card is a literal oil painting created by Nino Japaridze and the accompanying book is an outstanding accompaniment. Written in a intelligent and insightful manner, it brings a level of meaning, rarely found in modern decks.
This deck has been my #1 go to deck, during huge life transitions and has been an amazing tool, for unveiling subconscious drives and illuminating deeper meanings.

Nino Japaridze’s Tarot deck re-envisions the 78 cards as lush, surrealist dreamscapes, rich with layered symbolism and emotional nuance.
Working in a collage-like fusion of gouache, ink, acrylic, oil, and paper elements, she creates bold, evocative images that feel both otherworldly and deeply psychological.
Her art draws on numerology, elemental correspondences, and esoteric imagery, but filters them through a contemporary fine-art lens, giving familiar tarot archetypes an unexpected, transformative freshness.
The result is a highly atmospheric deck that reads like a gallery of visionary paintings, inviting intuitive, exploratory readings rather than an strictly traditional interpretations.
