Meditation
Hi David/Community.
I have been reading through the comments by yourself and the group, and I feel that the importance of meditation has not been made clear at least from my point of view.
The ideas / philosophy presented by the short videos and your own wisdom resonated with me straight away, thats why I enjoy contributing.
My point is that I have been on this particular journey for my whole life, but I was'nt until approx 15 years ago that I began to meditate on a daily basis.
Up until that point, I read poetry and all the go to books on self improvement.
I felt good, but something was missing.
It was that my mind was not in the right place to accept the new and radical ideas.
For me, meditation is critical, not optional, for living a full, happy life.
So for example we were all taught in school that you are this body and that it will grow old and die one day.
As we have touched on before, this is not true.
When you make the time to get quiet and still, you go to a place where you absolutely KNOW what you truely are.
You can read all the books, watch all the videos, but until you get 'there' that, special, some say sacred place, the mind will reject the new information.
At least that has been my experience.
Best wishes
