Going to the Root, Not the Branches
When I began to truly see the thought…
something became very clear to me.
All my life, I had been trying to work on different parts of myself.
Trying to reduce fear.Trying to control anger.Trying to manage anxiety.Trying to improve confidence.
Each of these felt like separate problems.
And I believed I had to fix them one by one.
But this would have taken a lifetime.
Because there were so many of them.
Then I saw something simple.
All of these are not separate.
They come from the same source.
The thought.
The Tree
It felt like looking at a tree in a completely new way.
The thought is like the trunk of the tree.
And the branches…
are the many forms of conditioned behaviour.
Fear.Anger.Anxiety.Stress.Hurt.Lack of self-worth.
All of these are branches.
And I had been trying to trim each branch separately.
But the tree remained.
A Different Way
The moment I began to see the thought…
I was no longer working on the branches.
I was seeing the root.
Not trying to control fear.
But seeing the thought that gives rise to fear.
Not trying to manage anger.
But seeing the thought that fuels it.
And in that seeing…
something changed.
The reaction did not grow in the same way.
Because I was no longer unconsciously inside it.
Awareness Changes Everything
When I do not see the thought…
the pattern takes over.
Emotion rises.Reaction follows.Behaviour plays out.
And it happens so quickly…
that I am not even aware of it.
But when I see the thought…
there is a pause.
And in that pause…
I am no longer being carried away.
I can see what is happening.
And that itself is the shift.
From No Control… to Clarity
Earlier, it felt like I had no control.
Because everything was happening automatically.
Now, it is different.
Not because I am controlling my thoughts…
but because I am aware of them.
And that awareness brings clarity.
Not forced control.
But natural understanding.
The Simplicity
I no longer try to fix everything.
I simply return to one thing:
Seeing the thought.
And from there…
the branches begin to lose their hold on their own.
This is why this is not a technique.
It is a shift.
From working on the surface…
to seeing the source.
And in seeing the source…
everything begins to change.
