I made a post on facebook offering free photography (I'm a photographer for fun) and one of the people who reached out was a real estate investor - we knew each other but had never met

I went to one of his properties and we had a great time

He has flipped ~40 homes in my market and is now buying land to build new rentals for himself. He has a huge network, tons of contractors, and a design firm in-house. All of which can be helpful for my real estate goals and maybe even for buying my own personal house in town and renovating it

Point is, sometimes I make those kinds of posts and get nothing and sometimes I make huge connections. You have to ask OFTEN to get what you want
