Performance PySpark vs Scala

Hi all, I'm new to Python as well as Scala. As I understand it some things in Fabric can better, or even only be done using notebooks. Recently I read somewhere that Scala works better with Spark than Python (I don't remember where 🤔). Is that also true in Fabric? I'm asking this because I probably have to learn one of these languages so I want to know in which of these to put my effort.

I hope I'm not asking something stupid or obvious. Thanks in advance.
