Need help - Using Visual Query in SQL Analytics Endpoint

I'm working on fixing the date format of a column in one of the tables from Lakehouse using Visual query as shown in the screenshot. But I'm unable to see the changes of the table being applied in the main table or this table is not being saved as a new table where I want to use this new table with Date column fixed in the semantic model for Power BI...Can any one throw some light on this ...Am i doing it right?
