Deployment pipelines!!

We are not in a position to look at Git integration (yet), so I am stuck with the Deployment Pipeline.

I am sure it is something I have done wrong, but when deploying from "dev" to "test", my data factory pipelines are not allowing me to configure deployment rules for my connections.

When I look at the "test" instance of a pipeline, the notebook connections have auto switched from dev to test warehouse; however my lookup and copy activities are still pointing back to the dev workspace.

Anybody point me to references explaining how I should be setting up this properly so I can deploy properly from dev to test?
