Ever since Supercell raised the price of Pass Royale to $11.99, I’ve been both annoyed and skeptical about whether it’s truly worth it.
I still buy it — but this season I wanted to stop guessing.
So I did something most players never do:
I tracked every single reward I got from Pass Royale this season and calculated its real value.
Here’s what I pulled just from drops and boxes:
48 total drops
- 12 one-star
- 11 two-star
- 18 three-star
- 4 four-star
- 3 five-star
5 Hero Boxes
Then I logged everything I received this season, including cards, wild cards, champions, evolutions, gems, gold, emotes — all of it.
After simplifying it into shop-equivalent values, here’s what Pass Royale gave me:
Card Value
- 12,062 Common cards = $16.03
- 1,973 Rare cards = $19.66
- 198 Epic cards = $19.73
- 12 Legendary cards = $11.88
- 8 Evolution cards = $15.97
- Hero Wizard = $14.99
- 31 Hero Fragments = $2.32
- 5 Champion cards = $9.99
Other Rewards
- 3 Emotes = $7.50
- 325 Gems = $3.25
Gold
The math:
Total value without gold: = $121.33 → 10.1× the cost of Pass Royale
Total value including gold: = $233.82 → 19.5× the cost of Pass Royale
Final verdict:
Even after the price increase, Pass Royale is still the best value purchase in Clash Royale by a massive margin.
Annoying price hike? Yes. Still worth it? Objectively, yes.
Let me know what you all think.
