You mindset is developed by how you were raised, the things you put in your mind (music/books) and your self talk. We all grow up with limiting beliefs that we must deal with and overcome but now that you're an adult don't let ANYTHING that doesn't serve you be come a belief!
I used to tell myself: "I am shy", "I am nervous", "I have anxiety" and "I'm not ever going to speak on stage"....now, why would I tell myself these things? How does self talk like that help me overcome these feelings?
Just because they are a limiting beliefs doesn't mean they are not REAL thoughts and feelings. I had to confront them head on and tell myself "I'm not going to let my past determine my future." I had to start getting around other people who believed in me to give me confidence and speak life into me. Until I could do it myself.
I had to read books and listen to videos that improved my self talk. Then I had to repeat those same words and thoughts to myself until I believed them. I began to build a reputation with myself; a reputation of following through, of accomplishing difficult things, a reputation being consistency and discipline. I slowly began to trust myself and build my self esteem.
Within a year I was a totally different young man. I was running my own business, speaking on stage to over 1000 people and helping people on their health and business journey.
Face your fears with courage. Embrace failure, because if you aren't failing then you aren't trying. Enjoy the journey while you get where you want to be, because the journey is the dream. Keep working on yourself every day because if you don't, nobody will do it for you.
You got this, believe in you.
What is a limiting belief you are determined to crush this year??
