Hi everyone, I’m Rebecca. I’m 3½ months postpartum with my first baby, and it’s been a wild experience watching my body change. Lately, I’ve been feeling like my goals of being “strong” and “super fit” are still pretty far away.
For the past 6 weeks, I’ve been walking 10,000+ steps a day, and over the last couple of weeks I’ve started eating in a calorie deficit. Now I’m hoping to add in short 15–20 minute weight sessions to build strength, burn more calories, and still support my milk supply.
I’ll be honest—it’s been challenging to meet myself where I’m at without judgment. I’m learning to accept that progress takes time, and that I’m still moving forward even if it doesn’t happen overnight. Right now, I’m leaning into the “mediocre method”—letting good enough be enough, and trusting that consistency will get me where I want to go.
