For too long, the world has looked at Environmental Services (EVS) and janitorial work as "unskilled labor." They see a mop; we see a precision tool. They see a "clean" room; we see a biologically validated environment and a preserved multi-million dollar capital asset.
Time to make the shift from "janitor" to "Janitor: Asset and Patron Protector".
Welcome to MCES: Science of Cleanliness. This community is the "Ignition" point for your professional transformation. Built on CIMS-Expert experience and over 30 years of industry regulatory expertise, we are reclaiming the dignity of our trade through the power of science, math, and high-performance stewardship.
What is MCES?
In this community, we will dive into:
- Mission: We are the frontline defenders of public health. What do we do as stewards?
- Core: We are Industrial Athletes, protecting our bodies and buildings through the sciences.
- Empowerment: We use the "Sword and Shield" of technical literacy to lead from the floor to the boardroom.
- Peer Development: We are one team. No matter where we are or what facilities we maintain, we face similar challenges. Working together respectfully will guide all of our mutual development.
Your First Mission: Start Here
- Introduce Yourself: Tell us who you are, what kind of facilities you want to/ currently work in, and one hobby of yours you like to engage in to relax.
- Ignite Module 1: Dive into the Philosophy of Facility Stewardship. Master the $T^2$ formula and start seeing your wing through the "Guardian’s Eye."
- Engage: This community thrives on dialogue. If a peer learner posts a challenge, offer your expertise. We grow faster when we move as a pack.
