Resolution
The revolution began when she picked up her pen
The ink bled onto the page exposing old wounds
The once tough, obnoxiously loud, attention seeking clown
She did one of the most bravest things anyone can do.
She began to relive old traumas and let the black ink on the page replace her dark shadows
She placed her most vulnerable lived experiences on display
Her soul, Awoke, cried, grieved and began to heal
She didn’t romanticize who she was to stay familiar.
She let others grieve her.
She kept moving forward
Her world taught her to be palatable, grateful, and quiet.
She decided to rise.
She decided to be soft
She chose peace
She chose herself
