Mentor call booking update
Hey all, thanks for your patience as we continue to find the optimum system for handling mentor calls here in Skool. In short, the easiest way to book your monthly session is by going to Classroom then opening the course called "Mentor Check-In Booking Link". Here you will find the link to book along with more information and a breakdown of each mentor. Here is a direct link: https://www.skool.com/mastering/classroom/57934705?md=ee483932abd443c4922b05f789b4bf93 For now, we have removed the mentor calls from the Calendar page, as people were trying to attend sessions that didn't have any bookings. The next booking isn't currently until Dec 8th, and we will find a way to publicly show what calls are coming up, so you can sit in on calls when you want to. Please do comment below if you have any questions! Either way, the important thing for now is to go ahead and book your session for December before it gets too close to the holidays! Cheers, Rob

Music Production 101
Just completed Music Production 101 Mastering. My first attempt at Mastering Music. With the training provided it went well. I felt that it sounded better than any other attempts at Mastering. Overall, I feel I had a good success. If anyone is just starting this maybe we could compare notes and how you felt about the course. I still need to purchase a camera for my computer. Any suggestions? Also, any suggestion on a good pair of headphones? I was looking at the VSX from slate but was unsure if that is what a beginner really needs. Happy Mixing all. That is where I am headed next to study🎧.

Open or Closed
Ok time for next query. Closed, open and ( for me unknown until today ) half-open back. Talking about Studio (HP) headphones. I have always used closed back HPs. But recently one of my friends told me that U do have to use open back to hear the stereo information. I do not use headphones to hear that, I do use headphones to isolate what in a track i don't like (over and over on repeat). But it maybe sounds true for anyone only using HPs mixing, mastering. So whats your take on this topic, open or closed ? and for that matter on, in or over ?( for me the only alternative is over) and now to the reason for this post. I have some very comfortable AKGs, so comfortable that I forget to take the off when fetching coffee, making it time to switch. What is your favorit HPs model and brand? Best Regards P-G
LOUDMAX EXERCISE
so very interesting, when I was doing the limiting exercise for there is fire, I realized with Loudmax's ceiling at -1db I could not get to -9 RMS at all! Not until I changed my ceiling to -0.1 Db. I cranked up the gain on the track, as well as the volume to the TOP, and it still didn't get to -9 RMS, until I changed my ceiling! Don't know if I did it right, but pretty cool to figure that out lol. Let me know guys. :)
