GoDaddy Ending Forwarding of Existing Shortened Links
Apparently, per an article, "GoDaddy Ending Forwarding of Existing Shortened Links" (https://www.billhartzer.com/domain-names/godaddy-ending-forwarding-shortened-links/) posted on May 5, 2022 by Bill Hartzer, "GoDaddy is ending the forwarding of existing GoDaddy's shortened links. So, if you were (or are) using one of GoDaddy’s shortened links, then after June 4, 2022 the shortened links will no longer work."
"If you’re still using these GoDaddy shortened links, you can run an online search for “URL shortener” to find other similar solutions..."
A follow-up article that looks more time consuming to configure than shortened links, but that may help is "How to Create Your Own Customized Short URL for Your Blog?.)". The article gives advice on a "good way to create a short URL for your WordPress site" .
  • "Buy a Short URL or Short Domain Name".
  • "Setup Your Custom Domain in Bitly"
  • "Set DNS A Record to Point to Bitly".
Additional step-by-step instructions are clearly presented.
Note: Find Bitly pricing plans, including the free plan at https://bitly.com/pages/pricing.

I hope this helps.
