Personal Grant — $20,000

👥 Who: Nonprofit organizations, school districts, universities, religious organizations, or other tax-exempt organizations in the United States and U.S. territories.  Broad eligibility, no specific focus area required beyond having access to a vacant
What it funds:
Ten grantees will each receive $20,000 to transform a vacant lot into a community garden. A total of $200,000 will be awarded. 
3 Pro Tips:
✅ You do not need to be a gardening organization to apply. Youth programs, reentry organizations, faith based nonprofits, and domestic violence shelters have all won this grant. Lead with your community impact story, not your green thumb.
✅ Applications are available in Spanish as well, which opens the door for bilingual and Latino serving organizations. 
✅ This closes June 15, which is 9 days away. Have a vacant lot in mind and a clear vision for the community before you sit down to apply. Vague answers will not win this one.
