Morale necessity when you have hierachy
In Starship Troopers, society is simple: if you do your military service, even if it's against giant Arachnids, you become a Citizen. You gain the right to vote, to have children, etc. Otherwise? You remain a Civilian, without any real powers.
It's a strange society, though, where throughout, people never questioned the reason for the attack on the Arachnids.
Kinda similar to some armies we can find around the world where soldiers are asked to do questionable things and they don't reject the orders. I always found it fascinating in the least.
Will you reject an order if they ask you to do something contrary to your values ?
Yes. It's just a job.
No. No matter the price to pay. Values first.
