Not only the scale
Scale’s been stubborn this week, but I had a moment yesterday that reminded me why this journey is worth it, and why celebrating the non scale victories is important.
Went clothes shopping. For the first time in a long time, I could walk into most stores and things actually fit. Picked up a large, and it worked.
But the bit that got me — I stood there and thought about whether I liked it. The colour, the cut, whether it suited me. Old me didn’t get to do that. Old me just bought whatever fit and left quickly.
I didn’t need the scale to move to feel like something shifted yesterday.
