A reflection on a long term shift
Over the past year, I have implemented a paradigm from Zoe’s teachings. It involves a dissolving of conflicting internal dialogue that arose for me from mundane “stressors” or deeper pondering of concepts such as morality, knowing and spirituality which I will discuss.
Morality:
For me, wondering about whether my actions were good or bad in relative to what others think in specific situations was unhelpful. I found myself not allowing ‘limitless expression’. And instead, I was more so people pleasing in order to satisfy the illusionary societal expectation.
Knowing and Spirituality:
I became fascinated by the idea of attaining esoteric knowledge and finding a deeper complexity within life, which leads to spirituality. There is a lot that can be said on this topic which Zoe can agree with me on 😂 Essentially, the mainstream media representation of spirituality really fuelled and encompassed this desire to know, with a shift in the way I live and think about my life. Such as acquiring the spiritual “rules” which for example are theories on enlightenment and ascension and what things are necessary to achieve that etc.
A significant teaching I have learnt from Zoe is the dissolving of polarity in cognition and thus initiating an inevitable shift in action and day to day. I often noticed a self generated stagnancy, which I recognised not to be replaced by freedom, but to disappear from existing as either.
This allows me to enter a state of flow, which is not to be confused with indifference or numbness to experience. For me this began the dissolving of need, for example a need to be right or wrong or even understand and instead an opening to loosely receive.
