how would you respond to client asking about price breakdown?

When a client asks you to do a project price breakdown, how would you respond? Recently, I just completed a product website for a client, and now they want me to redesign their main website. Because I raised the price for the new project, now they want me to explain why the price suddenly increased.

New website: 12 pages, $2500

Old website: 5 pages, $800
