Most IFAs don't have a plan for when an ideal prospect looks at their LinkedIn profile
If you're an IFA or financial planner who's on LinkedIn and looking to attract some valuable new enquiries, it's important that you're not taken by surprise when an ideal contact looks at your profile. If you have optimised your profile for your ideal client, they will show up.
But just because they have looked at your profile, it doesn't necessarily mean that they will make contact with you. They probably won't. The chances are they are doing some research, but you can still be proactive with a pre-planned approach to them.
I use a script which gets a near 100% success rate. Although it's a script, I still customise it every time and offer some highly personalised value.
Research into how two thousand IFAs and financial planners use LinkedIn, suggests that the majority are missing out because they haven't thought through how to get the attention of ideal clients visiting their profile.
As part of your LinkedIn strategy (you have got one, haven't you?) you should always plan in advance what you're going to do when those perfect prospects show up, because it can make the difference between winning or losing a great new client.
