Life Is Rich Devotional — March 15
Title: The Measure of Your Mouth

Devotional Thought
One of the most misunderstood passages in Scripture is when Jesus says:
“Give, and it will be given to you… a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over.” — Luke 6:38
Most people hear this and immediately think about money.
But when you read the entire passage, Jesus is not talking about finances at all.
He is talking about how we treat people.
Forgiveness.
Mercy.
Grace.
Judgment.
Love.
Jesus teaches a profound spiritual principle: the measure you use with people becomes the measure returned to you.
If you give criticism, criticism multiplies back.
If you give mercy, mercy multiplies back.
If you give encouragement, encouragement multiplies back.
God often chooses to bless us through people, and He determines the flow by the way we treat those people.
This means something powerful:
Your mouth is one of the greatest wealth-creation tools God has given you.
Jesus said:
“The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” — John 6:63
Words carry spiritual power.
They can lift a soul or crush it.
They can build destiny or destroy hope.
Think about it.
Most of us can still remember one sentence someone spoke to us years ago that gave us strength to keep going.
That is the power of a life-giving word.
Life Is Rich Reflection
Living a rich life isn’t only about finances.
True wealth includes the ability to deposit life into the souls of others.
You may not always have money to give.
But you always have something greater:
• Encouragement
• Wisdom
• Faith
• Hope
• Truth
A single word spoken at the right moment can change the direction of someone’s life.
And the beautiful principle Jesus teaches is this:
What flows out of you eventually flows back to you.
Leadership Principle
If you want greater relationships, influence, and opportunity in your life:
Increase the measure of life you speak into others.
Speak life to your family.
Speak life to your team.
Speak life to the next generation.
Wealth multiplies where life is deposited.
Today’s Life Is Rich Action Step
Before the day ends, intentionally speak one life-giving word into someone:
• Encourage someone who is struggling
• Affirm someone who is leading
• Uplift someone who feels unseen
Your words may become the sentence that carries them for the next 20 years.
That is real wealth.
