Life Is Rich Devotion
Theme: One Language, One Life
📖 Key Scripture
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
— Bible, Proverbs 18:21
Reflection
One of the most overlooked forces shaping a person’s life is the language they consistently speak.
Not just what we say to others—but what we say to ourselves.
In Scripture, when people were unified in their language, they gained extraordinary momentum. When their speech became divided, confusion followed. Language is not merely communication—it is agreement, alignment, and direction.
Your mouth is a gate.
Every day, words pass through that gate that either authorize life or reinforce limitation.
Sometimes the most dangerous words are not the ones spoken against us by others. The most powerful ones are the ones we repeat internally until we believe them.
• “I can’t do that.”
• “I’m not ready.”
• “People like me don’t succeed.”
• “This will never change.”
Those statements are not just observations.
They are agreements.
And over time, agreement becomes reality.
But there is another side to this truth.
Sometimes the challenge is not negative language—it is an impediment.
There are people who carry love in their heart but struggle to express it.
People who want to apologize but cannot form the words.
People who feel appreciation but rarely speak it.
The issue is not always intention.
Sometimes the issue is formation.
If certain words were never spoken around us growing up—words like encouragement, forgiveness, affirmation, or faith—it can create a gap between what we feel and what we say.
Yet the good news is that healing often begins when God opens the ear and loosens the tongue.
When truth enters the heart, clarity begins to flow from the mouth.
And when the heart and the mouth finally agree, life becomes fruitful.
Life Is Rich Principle
Your words reveal your agreements.
When your heart and your language align with truth, purpose, and faith, your life begins to produce the fruit of that alignment.
A rich life is not built by perfect circumstances.
It is built by disciplined belief and intentional language.
Questions for Reflection
1. What phrases do I regularly speak about myself or my future?
2. Are those words aligned with truth, faith, and purpose?
3. Is there something in my heart that I need to express—but have not yet said?
4. Is there an old narrative I have been agreeing with that needs to be replaced?
Prayer
Lord,
Search my heart and align my words with truth.
Remove every impediment that keeps love, faith, and courage from flowing freely through my life.
Teach me to speak life—over my future, my family, my work, and my calling.
Let my heart and my mouth agree with what You are building in me.
May the words I speak create clarity, encouragement, and strength for those around me.
Amen.
