Happy Thanksgiving LFG Crew 🦃
I've been thinking about the original Thanksgiving—not the holiday we know today, but what actually happened in 1621.
The Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians gathered to celebrate the first successful harvest.
These weren't people who had it easy.
They had crossed an ocean, lost loved ones, struggled through brutal conditions.
But they stopped to give thanks for what they had created together.
President Lincoln made this a national holiday in 1863—right in the middle of the Civil War.
The country was divided, families were torn apart, and he still declared a day of gratitude.
That's powerful.
Here's what I've noticed in my own life: when I focus on what's working, more things start working.
When I acknowledge progress, even small progress, momentum builds.
When I appreciate what I have, opportunities seem to multiply.
It's not magic—it's just how our minds work.
Gratitude shifts our focus from scarcity to abundance.
And that shift changes how we show up, what we notice, and what we create.
The colonists didn't wait until everything was perfect to celebrate.
They celebrated the harvest they had—and that gratitude fueled the next season.
So today, I'm grateful for this community and the perspectives you all share.
What's one thing you're grateful for this year?
Doesn't have to be profound—just real.
