I don't do this for a number.
I don't do this for a number. People have no idea what someone a certain size is supposed to look like. Because there is no supposed to. Two people can weigh the exact same and look completely different, feel completely different.
The other day I took a walk to the beach. Two hours. The old me would've been crying in pain the next day. I was so joyful after.
Not because I love walking on the beach. Because I wasn't crying in pain after two hours of it. That's what joy felt like. Just... not being limited by my own body. I didn't wake up the next morning wrecked.
Am I going to walk on the beach every day? No. But I want to be able to. I want to jump if I want to. I want to run if I want to. I want to live my life without my body being the thing that stops me.
Everyone in fitness talks about the burn, the grind, going balls to the walls. And if that's you, amazing. But some of us just want to start with not crying after a walk.
Life is hard enough. We don't need our body making it harder. The scale is not why I want to lose weight. Being pain free is why I want to lose weight.
