Homeschool parent coach Julia McGarey created this community to help parents confidently guide their children's education, whatever path that may take. One of the best parts about homeschooling is that you have the ability to customize your child's education. Historically, though, the majority of homeschoolers have been religious, and many of the supports available to new homeschoolers carry this legacy.
This group was built for parents who believe in teaching fearlessly for the future. It's for parents who believe in evolution and shy away from white-washed, eurocentric versions of history. It was built for parents who don't want to overlook or explain away biblical references. It's for parents who want the structure and support of a curriculum without sacrificing their values.
